New SLR lens announced from Voigtlander.

Today Cosina Company announced a new 75mm 1.8 SLR II lens. This lens will give many portrait photographers an alternative to the big brands own fast 85mm lenses. I imagine as it is the classic Heliar design its performance will be similar to the recently released M mount 75mm.

Scheduled to be produced in both Nikon and Canon mounts with CPU chip. No firm price or date have been given by the factory as yet.

The new Nokton 25mm 0.95 lenses arrived and then went!

With the production run sold out in just a few days after being announced and Cosina giving preference to the domestic market we knew the lens was going to be in short supply. Then we find out we were only shipped less than 10% of our pre orders! I think they have produced a real winner here. Not just for images but for video check out this short film by Mike Kobal

Voigtlander 75mm 1.8 M lens in stock and selling fast.

New Fuji wide angle medium format camera the GF670W. Will there be a Bessa III WIDE?

Well we are now getting the 2010 Photokina releases coming out. Though this one is a little unexpected I must admit. A wide angle 667 camera from Fuji.  It begs the question will we see a Voigtlander 667 wide shortly.

Looks like we have a fixie here with a 55mm lens.

This is very interesting as I really thought the Bessa III aka Fuji GF670 would be the last of the great film cameras to be made at least in Medium format.

The Bessa III has been a huge success with  Cosina now almost sold out. Of course many where not interested in the Bessa III with a standard focal length lens, so maybe this is the logical next step. Either way Fuji nor Cosina are not in the habit of producing products that do not sell. No price has been set.

Well guess what…
